Information as a Relation
Indigenous Knowledge Organization
Positionality
Imagine the drum as an instrument that both contains and streams information. Embodying this model, consider each aspect: drum maker, creator, player, listener, song, songwriter, dancer; and/or rhythm, melody and harmony; and/or introduction, verse, pre-chorus, refrain, hook, chorus, bridge, breakdown, solo, and outro.
Peering through any of these prisms, the component parts are holistic and relational. They each hold and are responsible for each other.
(Drum used here as I can speak to its use without misappropriation -ED.)
